Calvin Clausell - Artist Biography

Born in 1989, Calvin Clausell, a resident of the vibrant city of Los Angeles, CA. His artistic journey has been a testament to two distinct passions: Film / Television acting, and Oil painting. From early sketches to the creation of large-scale, photorealistic oil paintings on wood panels, his work is a reflection of a lifelong commitment to capturing the intricacies of human expression and the profound connection between humanity and the natural world. 

His artistic journey began in childhood, where a passion for sketching evolved into a love for charcoal and graphite, driven by a desire to capture human expression and emotion. Transitioning to oil in 2016, Clausell has since gained recognition for his large-scale, photorealistic works on wood panels. His artistic ventures have taken him abroad for multiple solo exhibitions, notably in Milan, Italy in early 2024. Following up with his most recents works titled “New Growth,” which was exhibited at the AKAA art fair in Paris, France October 2024. He has also cemented himself within the music culture, creating the latest album cover for hip-hop artist Gunna, which has been streamed over 1 billion streams thus far.
